Terms of Service

1. Who we are, and what this covers

These terms cover the ProfitProphet addon ("the addon") and the Wisdom web companion at wowprofitprophet.com ("Wisdom"), together "the Service", operated by Deadpan Labs LLC. By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.

2. Not affiliated with Blizzard

ProfitProphet is an independent, unofficial project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment. World of Warcraft and related marks are trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. Your use of World of Warcraft is governed by Blizzard's own terms, and nothing here overrides them.

3. The addon is free

The addon is provided free of charge through its official listings. We don't charge for it and don't lock its features behind payment. Paid features exist only in Wisdom, which is a separate web service we operate on our own infrastructure.

4. Your account

• You need an account to use Wisdom. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in secure.
• Give accurate information. If you sign up by email, you must confirm that address.
• One person per account. Don't share credentials or resell access.
• You must be old enough to form a contract where you live, and at least 13.

5. Contributing market data

Wisdom improves as players upload auction-house scans. Contributing is entirely optional.

• By uploading scans, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, aggregate and display that data as part of the Service — in aggregate form (medians, trends, counts), not as listings attributed to you.
• Improving and training our technology. That licence also lets us use contributed market data, in aggregated and anonymised form, to develop, train, evaluate and improve our technology — including the statistical and machine-learning models behind features like price trends, liquidity estimates, craft costing and buy/sell signals. Because this use is aggregated and anonymised, it may continue after you delete your account (we cannot un-learn one contributor's influence on a median). This covers market scan data only.
• Your private ledger is excluded from all of the above. It is never pooled, never shown to anyone else, and never used to train anything. It exists solely to show you your own profit and loss.
• Only upload data your own game client generated. Don't upload scraped, purchased or falsified data.
• Deliberately submitting false data to distort the market boards is a breach of these terms and grounds for termination.

6. Premium subscriptions

• Price. Wisdom Premium is $5.00 USD per month, charged through Stripe.
• Renewal. It renews automatically each month until you cancel. Your next billing date is always shown in your portal.
• Cancelling. Cancel yourself at any time from your portal — one click, no email required. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for, and you keep Premium until then.
• Invoices. Available any time in the billing portal.
• Refunds. We don't generally refund partial months, since you keep access through the period you paid for. That said, if the Service didn't work as described, contact us — we'd rather sort it out than argue. Nothing here removes rights you have under your local consumer law.
• Price changes. We'll give notice before any price change affecting your renewals, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

7. Acceptable use

Don't:

• attack, overload, probe or attempt to bypass the Service's security or access controls;
• access data belonging to another user, or try to;
• scrape or bulk-extract the market data to build a competing dataset or product;
• resell, sublicense or redistribute access to Premium;
• use the Service to break Blizzard's terms, or to build or assist automation that does.

8. Intellectual property

The addon, Wisdom and their source code are © 2026 Pablo (Caducae), all rights reserved. The addon is free to download and use for personal, non-commercial gameplay through its official listings; that permission is not a licence to copy, redistribute, modify or commercialise it. Your uploaded data stays yours, subject to the licence in section 5.

9. No guarantee of profit — and it's not financial advice

10. Availability and changes

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We're a small operation: we may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we don't promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Where a change materially reduces what a paying subscriber receives, we'll give notice and you can cancel.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Deadpan Labs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost in-game currency, items, time or game-account standing arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as permitted.

12. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms — particularly for security abuse or deliberate data falsification. If we terminate your account without cause while you're a paying subscriber, we'll refund the unused portion of your current period.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This doesn't deprive you of mandatory protections under the law of your own country of residence.
